NASHVILLE, Tenn.—-Louisiana-Pacific Corporation reported today results for the fourth quarter of 2008, which included the following: Total sales for the fourth quarter of 0.2 million were down 33 percent versus a year ago, primarily the result of dramatically reduced US housing starts, which dropped 34 percent from fourth quarter 2007 levels, due to weakness in home building.
